This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.

Donkerrood tot zwart kleurig bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet, fruitig en niet chemisch wat vaak bij kriek bieren terug komt, met overduidelijk kersen. Heeft een licht zuurtje wat erg goed past bij dit bier.

330ml bottle. Clear, ruby colour with average, frothy, diminishing, pink-ish head. Fruity aroma has notes of green apple parings and sweet cherry with fairly artificial touch. Taste is sweet, (artificially) fruity, notes of cherry, sweet cherry, Haribo Happy Cherries, a tart-ish touch of sherbet, bitter hoppy counterpart, alcohol is completely hidden. Very sweet, easy drinkable.

clear ruby colour, medium sized creamy pinkish head; aroma of cherry and some minimal marzipan; taste of sweet, overripe cherry, syrup and slight bittery-marzipan notes; not bad, but obviously over-dominated by cherry

Huge pink-cream coloured head, stable, over clear ruby beer. Sweet cherry syrup, bit smoked, cherry candies (poepekes), rainwater, iron. Again this little smoked touch overlying sweet (if less than the nose suggested) and even a slight acidity. Fruity, but not tasting 100% natural. Despite fine carbonation and a light acidity, sticky MF, especially backthroat. Medium bodied. Not worthy either of d'Achouffe, nor of Duvel-Moortgat. 5/4/6/3/11
