This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 07/2024) @ De Vrolijke Viking in Ghent after missing the train because Sergiy didn’t hold the door open. Clear red with full pinkish white head. Lots of cherry, some Belgian yeast. A little artificial, but still tasty.

Bottle on 712 to Edinburgh, thanks to the Wingman, 24/02/23. Cherry red with a faded crimson cap. Nose is cherry drops, light yeast, strae, herb. Taste comprises cherry syrup, sweet malts, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable ... overly sweet and syrupy.

Bottled. Red colour with a mediumsized fluffy pinkish head. Aroma is cherries, mild sugary and some syrupy notes. Flavour is cherries, some wood, mild syrupy notes as well as some slight alcohol and spiciness.
