From a 12 oz can. Pours an opaque dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of leather, vanilla and roast coffee. Flavors are bitter roast with some vanilla sweetness.

Can pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. It's a dark, dark mahogany-brown with light sparkle, finger-width beige head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt with lighter earthy quality, vanilla, dark fruit. Taste is strong earthy, roasted malt, vanilla and chocolate with late dark fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, more complexity and better than I was expecting.

12 ounce can at Old Chicago.
Pours black with a nice head of tan foam.
Smells definitely of vanilla, roasted malt, quite sweet.
Taste is lightly sweet from the vanilla, has a nice roasted malt infusion, body is smooth as silk.
Excellent!
