Almost opaque dark brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, mild fine carbonation. Semi sweet dark malts, mild cream. Traces of esters and dark fruits. Modest spice. Finishes smooth and semi dry. 2 years past BBE but drinking well.

Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. Sweet dark fruit in the nose. Solid body, sweet overripe dark fruits, again the pruney kind, some brown sugar and a subtle roast. Warming alcohol finish. Very nice but more of a Dubbel or a Quad. 090212

Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, caramel sauce, malt, and prunes, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Not an abbey triple. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
