Kilt Lifter is our award-winning flagship brew, crafted in the tradition and honor of the great strong ales of Scotland. Take one sip and you’ll swear it had been brewed by men in kilts—and maybe it was. It’s a full-bodied ale with pronounced flavors of caramel and roasted barley. Notice its amber color, malty sweetness and a hint of smokiness with a clean, dry finish? That’s a true Scottish-style ale.

Brown with a frothy, white head. Dank aroma with candy and metal. Taste is bittersweet. Finishes with a mild, metallic note. Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Drab.

Light heather. Amber pour with decent head. Kind of a tart tangy, cloying finish. Can.

Can from Robin, thank you. Pours a reddish brown topped with a beige head. Light aroma of sweet caramel malt and faintly earthy. Thin bodied.. tastes sweet and light florals. Some earthiness. Overall on the thin side and muted flavors. Bummer.

25 ounce can at DBack’s game at Chase Field in Phoenix. Malty aroma is sweet caramel. Flavor follows nose. Sweet caramel, toasted grain and warming alcohol. Sticky mouthfeel.

Taster at the brewery. Almost clear, amber colored. AROMA- a bit toasted, plums, pale plums, cherries, a bit herbal. FLAVOR- dry, slightly bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Pretty average.

Not normally a beer from a style I would buy to drink but it was a gift. I have a snifter in place, making the pour now. The appearance is appreciated, a nice amber with not much in the way of a head but vigorous carbonation. I smell malt and toffee. And the taste is a subdued grain, malt, caramel and meadow. Nothing inspirational but I can’t dump on it either. Okay at best.

Tap at Blanco Tacos and Tequila Bourgondy red. Sweet, malty, candied sugar, hint of lemonade. Fairly sweet, subdued hoppyness. Quite poor. Purchased at Blanco Tacos and Tequila, Phoenix Airport.

On draftva couple times in Las Vegas. Clean and clear copper pour, active fizz head. Slightly rich caramel malt front. Bready. Slight metallic reminder at times. Some spices. Multi layered flavor going on. Pretty smooth. Reminds me of a beer from back home with a similar name.
