Draft taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is very dark brown--virtually opaque--with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is cherry dominant over chocolate. Taste is sweet cherry (think maraschino) over mild chocolate. Palate is medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty one dimensional. It is pretty much as advertised as a cherry cordial but I'm not a huge fan of those (too sweet) and with this the cherry is too dominant--almost like an alcoholic Dr. Pepper.

Pour is a almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is a nice cherry juice with cocoa nibs with a bit of char. Flavor is as advertised, cherry and chocolate. Not a heavy tongue coating chocolate malt but it's there just enough. Reminds me of a chocolate cherry cordial you get of of a box of chocolates.
