On holiday at a new cafe in Hunawihr which was selling beer and charcouterie. This was 8%. Appearance - golden and cloudy. Big head. Nose - zingy with tonnes of banana-like esters. Taste - more banana and possibly pineapple. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy and tangy middle section. Dry tangy finish. Overall - good. Quite like an Abbey Tripel.

Bottled 750 ml. - from Le Carolus, Paris. The label reminds me of "Maja Sans Culotte" few days before on Croatian coast:). Dark golden coloured, very lively carbonation, medium to big sized white head, fruity alcoholic nose. Sweet malty, fruity and alcoholic with notes of honey and hint of spices. Quite good naked ass beer but Maja you can still do much better for 12.40€.

09/03/2011 - 75cl bottle @ Klaas' place - BB: 11/02/12 (2011-105) Thanx to Mattie & Georges for the bottle!
Note: beer label says "Bière du Gambrinus".
Cloudy dark orange beer, white creamy head, adhesive and pretty stable. Aroma: light caramel, malts, bready yeast character. Taste: citrus fruits, bready, hops, some candi sugar, very light passion fruits. MF: too much carbon, medium body. Aftertaste: fairly hoppy, citrus. Very pleasantly surprised by this French brew, until I learned it was Belgian. Cheaters! :p Lost two points on Overall score for not mentioning the real brewery.

Bottled. A hazy orange-golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, dust, and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of dusty hops, caramel, and fruit, leading to a metallic finish, the metallic note probably stemming from the alcohol.
