More like a thin porter or strong mild. But the flavor is a bit sour from a poor fermentation. Tastes like a homebrew. Paddock wood saskatoon

Deep dark brown coloured body with a lighter brown at the bottom and a thinnish, single centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of funky permanent marker, sour grapes, metal, mushrooms, alcohol and more bitter funk - not so pleasant. Medium-bodied; Rich malty flavour at first with a big sweetness from caramel and toffee and a lot of unfinished molasses and brown sugar notes as well. Aftertaste shows a rich coffee and chocolate overtone, but the malt still hits hard. Overall, a decent beer that shows some good characteristics, but probably hasn’t aged much over time, but at least, kept it’s profile and robustness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Sherbrooke Liqours in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 27-December-2008 on my last trip to Western Canada, sampled a few hours before leaving back out West [Canada], sampled at home in Washington on 04-June-2015, and yes, this bottle is 6.5 years old.
