Rich, smooth stout with a good whack of coffee, lots of toasty malt. Some tangy sweetness too, not sure if that's off the malt or maybe fruit, but it's nice and balances nicely.

Keg at Shilling Brewing. It pours darkest brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, milk chocolate, gateaux, cake frosting, dark fruits, plum, aniseed balls, molasses, coffee and black bun. The taste is crisp, dry, almost has a sourness to it, plum, prune, dark fruits, bramble, red grape, chocolate cake, washed process arabica coffee with bright acidity, kick of alcohol, umami, toasted spice and toffee with a drying, roasty finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Some tasty elements, but an odd mix overall.

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, with fine brown foam. Aroma is intense of coffee and dark chocolate. Body is rather oily, slightly dense, with tickling carbonation. Taste is a weird combination of roasty and sweet. Final is average.
