Deep murky brown with no head. The smoky notes overwhelm the beer. Some chocolate, roasted malts, and sweetness power through but the rum is lost. Full, slick body. Finish is smoky with molasses. A bit disjointed.

Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, rum, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, prunes, dark chocolate, and wood, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is huge peat smoke, chocolate, roasted, meaty, hint of raisin, taste is similar, quite smoky, little thin.
