13th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Opaque black beer. Frothy brown head - short lived. Dark and dry malt. Licorice and some sweet aniseed. Fruity with a slight medicinal note. The malt is slightly toasted. A hint of bubblegum in the finish and a pinch of spice. Complex tasty beer. Somewhere between a dark lager and a mild. Nice one Felstar!
