Gusher! Even though it's been in the back of the fridge for some time. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a thick fluffy beige head. The aroma is rich maltage, brown bread, fruit cake, Dundee cake, earthy, woody, plenty of umami, strong liquorice, jammy, plum wine, vanilla and intoxicating whisky soaked cake. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty malts, whisky soaked oak, bitter - sweet character, rather fruity, plum, prune, date, fig, jammy berry, port wine, light tannin, nip of spice, brown bread, toasted oak, cinder toffee, Dundee cake and some dull alcohol warmth in the backdrop with a toasty wood finish. Medium body and fairly high foamy carbonation. A bit of a shame about the high carbonation, but other than that it's quite a nice beverage. Interesting depth of fruity whisky.
