A style that originates from countries surrounding the Baltic Sea during the Mid-19th century. Baltic Porters were developed using local ingredients and brewing techniques in an attempt to replicate British Imperial Stouts. Our take on the Baltic Porter was brewed with 6 malts, fermented on house lager yeast, and rested in bourbon barrels for 7 months. Giving notes of caramel, toffee, and a subtle hint of dark chocolate. Balanced out by flavours of vanilla and coconut from the bourbon barrels with a light, gentle and slightly sweet finish.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is huge liquorice, meaty, roasted, woody, taste is sweet toffee, roasted, salty liquorice, bitter finish. Not getting much bourbon character. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barrel Aged Baltic Porter on 14 Oct 2022 at 16:12 - Score: 7. Original review text: Bottle at home.
