Bottle front the Dramfool Stall at the Dufftown whisky fair. It pours lightly hazy deep reddish - brown with a yellowy / beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, brown bread, rivita, cacao nibs, woody, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, nutty, fruit cake and leather. The taste is dry, toothy, chewy, bitter - sweet, brown bread, toasted nuts, toasty malt, malt loaf, leather, spicy, warming alcohol, touch of toffee, cacao nibs, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, oak and light tannin with a toasty finish. Medium+ body and light carbonation. Plenty to enjoy about this base beer. Robust and satisfying.
