Taster at the source. Appearance is light brownish yellow with small white head with nice lacing. Aroma is a bit smoky--almost savory--and pine. Taste is smokiness--kind of like smoked fruit--which is different and I’m not positive it’s in a good way; some grapefruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture and soft-to-average carbonation with smoky, bitter finish. Overall, certainly not your run-of-the-mill DIPA. The smoky/savory quality is distinguishing, and interesting, but a little alarming. Will have to try a full beer at some point.
