Bottle from Inoteca Regionale, Alberobello Trulli district. Opaque dark brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Grapey oaky nose. Palate is fairly light, semi dry and has just modest carbonation. Smooth light malts, trace of caramel but not that sweet. A very light malt cream. The grape and oak carry over from the nose and additionally impart a mild and mellow gueuzey vibe. Light floral grapey sweetness and a touch of ’barely there’ earthyness. Light finish. Unusual barleywine. The grapey caramel works well, with the mildly tart offset. Finishes slightly dry and mildly bitter. Tasty job.

bottle bbe 11/20 very dark good head vinous wood toasty liquor medium dry bit warming scura impenetrabile buona schiuma abbastanza fine discreta persistenza naso vinoso legno tosture liquoroso filo ossidazione piuttosto secca solo un filo riscaldante
