Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; dark chestnut pour with velvety beige head, quite heavy nutmeg and orange aroma, the aroma come through in the taste a bit artificial but quite nice, some winter fruits.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Lamb and Flag, Oxford on 23rd Nov 13. Most likely the very same barrel that ’imdownthepub’ had his sample from in his rate below. Poured a slightly hazy, dirty orange/amber colour with very little head. The nose was spicy and orange in nature, not sure if the whole nutmeg that’s supposed to be added was the spice I found, the orange peel was though. The alcohol isn’t hidden too well, even if the nutmeg is: the taste was like the remnants of a booze laden sweet orange punch that someone had laced with a strong Christmas Belgian beer. I liked it, even though it was too sweet and alcoholic for it’s own good.
