A similar base recipe to Russian Imperial Stout in the February beer box, but with a large addition of cherry puree. The crystal and roasted malts contribute big coffee and chocolate flavours which pair well with the cherry flavour.

Bottle from Beer Club. Appearance - massive gusher then opaque black with a very thin crema head. Nose - deep dark chocolate and raisins with a slight cherry accent. Taste - soft cherry and dark chocolate. Still raisins too. Palate - creamy and rich, full bodied. Sweet but very slightly malt roastiness on the finish. Overall - shame it was a gusher, otherwise it was a 4.

bottle at home... dark black.. small tan head.. sweet chocolate roast malts nose.. Light chocolate.. soft sweet fruitss... plums cherries.. sweet roast
