The immediately recognisable and dominant peat aroma is prominent from the moment you open the bottle. The initial aroma gives way to a very long and smooth chocolate flavour that coats the mouth . A zesty effervesence coupled with the bold flavours coming from the chocolate and roasted barley malts make this an all year round stout.

Bottle from Beer Club. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Beige head. Nose - not so powerful on the peat side, but lightly smoky all the same. Dark chocolate and toffee, a hint of blackberry. Taste - more dark chocolate and a suggestion of dark fruit again. The peat is very subtle. Palate - medium bodied, rich middle and lightly roasty finish. Overall - good.
