Brown 0.33 litre bottle sappled in my hotel room while visiting Stuttgart. Best before 05/2010, drank 09/2009. A good solid white foaming head sat on top of a pale golden liquid, as you’d expect from a German Pilsner. A hoppy, straw type aroma hit my nose, nothing big or offensive, just a few hops and a bale of straw! Dry throughout the tasting, typical clean and clear feel to it, a Mr Average Pilsner in almost every way.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a medium white head. Lots of straw in the aroma, but also malty and lemonade. Light bitter taste with a more malty ending.

On tap at pub in Stuttgart. Dark golden color with huge long lasting white head. Aroma of malt, grain, with fruity hints. Taste, surprisingly bitter, with malty hints. Nice long bitter finish. Surprisingly good.

Bottle (Thanx to the Lake of Constance!): Golden, a bit unclear with a greenish shenn; medium white head with a nice lace; light aroma of pale malt, distinctive nose of herbal, aromatic - almost piney - hops; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering aromatic, light dryish hoppy finish. Superb ! Can’t believe, that this perfectly crafted Pilsener was made by a giant brewery.........

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a big foamy white head. Light-sweet malty aroma with a surprisingly aromatic and citrus-fruity, slightly herbal hoppy touch. Mild bitter flavour, light bodied but not watery, crispy mouthfeel. Soft malty base with herbal hops from the beginning, leading into a dry and aromatic hoppy finish. A pleasant surprise, big thanks to Quack-Duck (02.IV.09).

bottle. Clear yellow colour, large white head, aroma of ’green’ hops. Medium-bodied with a good malty background and some really nice resiny grassy hop flavours. A pleasant surprise.

The bottle looks really noble. The beer in the glass is okay. Fine aroma. Tastes modest spicy, very drinkable - good beer.

Bottled (BB 01/2008)
Pale yellow color, white head, nice lacing. Grassy hops and suprisingly barnyardish notes in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Aggressive hopping. Cut grass flavor which is quite bitter in the aftertaste. Stylish example of good German pils.
