Draught at SOPP, Helsinki. Hazy pale amber, rich firm head. Aroma of salty bread. Sweet and fruity with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Butter and ripe fruits, mid bitter finish. More alcohol than hops it seems.

Draught @ SOPP 2012. 28.7. Amber, thick, everlasting white head. Malt, sweet berries, hops aroma. Flavor has citrus, berries, sweetness. Full bodied, thick and heavy to drink.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a white head. Subtle dusty hops with a vague whiff of butter in the nose. Medium body, sweet malts and quite some caramel. Dry and dusty hops leaving quite some bitterness. Would’ve loved a crisper hop profile. 100612

Bottled@SOPP Turku 2012. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is floral and fruity with mild wooden and alcoholic notes. Flavour is fruity, sweet malty with some mild grassy and yeasty notes. Also some slight alcohol sweetness.

Draught @ Gastopub Praha as "Stadin Double IPA"
Aroma is rather fruity with yeast and some hops. Flavour is a bit messy, slightly sweet and rather short with some fruits, yeasty notes, gooseberries and nettles. A bit unpleasant hops in the dry and rather thin finish. Not my kind of DIPA, too straightforward, messy and low on hops.

Pours dark orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of caramel malts, fruity hops and toffee. Taste is malty and slightly sweet with hints of fruity hops and gooseberries. Finish is malty and sweet with some fruitness. Alcohol comes through a bit too much. A bit unbalanced DIPA, could’ve used some more hops and bitterness.

Woody-resiny hoppyness, Alcohol sticks out quite a lot. At least better than VASP’s new double IPA, although this is also a bit too heavy drinking.

(Draught at Black Door, 20120512) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, hops and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, grass, strawberry, malts, caramell and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, fruity, sweet and bitter. A quite complex brew and not a bad one. The strawberry flavour was quite confusing.
