We were delighted to be approached by Brewdog Manchester to take part in this years collabfest. Based on a blend of Duvet Day and Eleventh Hour. We invited the team over for an epic brewday that involved many tastings and fantastic camararderie. The result is Saving Throw an Imperial stout with peanut (allergen free), toffee and chocolate.
Roll the dice, live life! Saving Throw.

Keg at Brewdog Norwich. An oily dark black brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is big nutty hazelnut, vanilla, cakey, dried nuts, chocolate. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy dried fruits, cake, apple, fruit cake, hazelnut. Pinch of acid.sour, moderate carbonation. Not a fan of this. Disappointed.

Crowler from BD Tower Hill. It pours black with a dissipating tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, intense peanut character, peanut butter cookies, chocolate, fudge, caramel, nougat, spicy, jammy, rocky road, burnt toast and earthy vibes. The taste is slick, oily, dry, sticky, rich roasted malt, some bitterness, toasty, toothy, cookie dough, nutty, peanut butter cups, chocolate sauce on chocolate ice cream, caramel, toffee crisp, quite intense and filthy, touch of spice and some warming booze with a slick, sticky finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Rich and filthy pastry action. Maybe a little touch artificial.
