Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to heavy spices, Xmas pudding, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy - Xmas pudding, light spicy burn, sweet malt - spices. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO to much spices - Xmas pudding. [20111206]

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Hazy mahogany colour. Cloves strike hard in the nose. Sweet and gingery with loads of caramel but even more cloves. Bold and warming, way too sticky.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Pitch black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nectar, spices, some plum and mild caramelly and toffeeish notes as well. Flavour is liquorice, spices, caramel with some mild fruity and dark berryish notes. Pleasant and warming.
