Avalonia is our blend of wine barrel-aged farmhouse ales and a favorite canvas for expressions of whole fruit refermentation. Among those Apricot stands out - the fruit melds with and elevates the base beer unlike any other and we’re thrilled to welcome Avalonia: Apricot back after three years away.

Interesting layered beer. Up front has tartness, some green notes, peppery, the body is chewy dried apricot, end has a touch of sharpness

Armsby draught, 2/4/25.
Very pale brass-golden. Small, white head, good retention.
Juicy apricot and very little acid. Mostly letting the fruit speak with a bit of wood and rustic grain.
Juicy again, this time with more acid from the lactobacillus. Softer wood tannin and dainty apricot. Fruit gets a little bit overly folded in to the wood and a bit bullied by the culture. But it's soft, malty, appropriately attenuated.
