Draught @ Lido Origo, Riga Aroma has malty tones, feels like kotikalja. Flavour has sweetish malty tones, mild fruitiness, toasted notes and toffee. Pairs well with food, quite useless otherwise.

Pale clear amber colour, small beige head. Mostly harsh hops in the nose. Light-bodied. Caramel, hard toffee in the flavour, some harsh hops. Sweetish, simple. Meh.

Bottle from Rimi, Riga (strength 4.8%, not as per Rate Beer) Not seen this in bottles before, so grabbed in when I saw it and brought it back to share with friends in the UK. Malt and toast in the nose. Pours a brownish amber with a transient white head. In the mouth there is caramel, ginger and malts together with some hoppiness. Hops come through at the finish. A nice and drinkable Vienna Lager. At the time I was also drinking Sam Adams Boston Lager (don’t ask) and had difficulty telling between the two !

Smell- weak, bit of malt Foam-medium large, white, thin, Appearance- amber, clear, some carbonation Taste-neutral, malty, weak bittersweet notes in background. Easy drinking and nice.

Hazy golden, small head. Aroma is sweet, not much. Taste is the same with a tartness to it, some fruit. Meh
