Bottle from Libeerdade, Lisboa. Oaky and vinous aroma with malt, red fruits, some funk, caramel. Notes of red wine. Tart and mildly sour flavour, lightly sweetish. Medium body. Decent complexity, good stuff.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 33B: unknown - 28C - Wild). Bottle 37.5 cl - Batch 1 (Bottle 181/435) - BBF 08/2025. AROMA: medium-high sour aroma with some acetic notes, medium-low wood and slight red fruits. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium beige head with average retention. TASTE: initial medium-low sour flavor with some acetic notes. low malty flavor with slight caramel notes. distracting yeasty flavor. medium-low bitterness with a dry and yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: light body with medium carbonation. slight alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a barrel aged sour ale with bland flavour and a distracting yeasty flavor.
