Introducing Conversations With Myself, an apricot golden sour ale, aged for 8 months in Sauvignon Blanc barrels, where it was inoculated with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and multiple strains of farmhouse yeast strains.
We fermented it with apricots, creating notes of apricots (obvi), tangerine peel, lemongrass, and hints of oak and white pepper.
This sour is a treat any time you drink it, but it hits different when enjoyed on a summer day.

500ml bottle. At the February DCBeer share. Poured a murky, hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was big stonefruit - particularly apricot, with grape. Some citrus, tart fruit zest. Dry and tasty.

50cl pours a murky yellow, white head. Bright nose, lemon and champagne grape, sweet tarts, some straw, some raw citrus. Bright in the mouth, nice minerality, lemon, lime, grapefruit zest, white grape. Tart and bone dry.

500 mL bottle, thanks to Ian, and shared with Ben. Pours an unclear, yellow color, with a small, fizzy, white head. The nose is strong apricot, lemon juice, hay, and green apple. Very sour, with a light, musty bitterness. Medium body, sharp, acidic, and clingy. Quality and delicious.
