Can from the brewery - dark amber pour - nose is subtle dark bread, slight dark fruit - rich but dry maltiness in the flavor - bready, lightly fruity, with some spiciness and some dusty, earthy yeast qualities - tastes slightly oxidized - finish has lingering dark bread, spiced fruitiness, earthiness - decent.

Pint at the brewery. Pours an unclear, reddish, brown color, with a medium, off-white head. The nose is orange peel, wet leaves, pine, brown bread, and rye. Quite a strong aftertaste of spiced apples. Malty, yet pretty dry, with a light bitterness. Medium body, with a crisp, bready palate. This is a pleasant and interesting beer.
