Thanks to KP for having some of this on tap at the Southeast Gathering! Rating # 10 for this. Why, oh why did Dogwood have to close?? This was extremely well done and one of the better of the whiskey barrel brews out there. Dark brown in color with an off-white creamy head. Smooth flavor, nothing like the regular Dubbel. The barrel has completely transformed this one into something else. No longer a Dubbel, but a very tasty brew nonetheless. Extremely smooth and no over the top whiskey notes. Well balanced. Perhaps it’s continuing to improve with time.
