Keg at Ushi-Tora. Pale blond, slightly cloudy, small bubbly white head. Aroma is herbal, bit citrus, typical saison stuff. Taste is similar, bit of grain, bit herbal, some sweetness, but not the in your face bubblegum you would normally get. Quite spritzy. Nice.

Draft at Marceiro, Osaka. Fairly hazy golden orange with an off white head. Aroma of peppery yeast, citrus and lemon. Flavour is light to moderate sweet, moderate bitter and light to moderate citric sour. Medium bodied with light moderate carbonation.

Bottle at restaurant in Yamanouchi. Perhaps misleadingly described as Belgian IPA but sure. It is very Belgian and quite floral. decent sinker

On tap pours out a hazy straw color topped with a white head. Nose is nice belg yeast notes spice some sweet malts and a little floral hop. Taste is more of the nice floral perfume hops and sweet spice malts.

Not surprising that my favorite J-brewer would make one of the best saisons I've had. Super smooth w/ a hidden edge lurking on the exterior.

Keg at Takumi Craft Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light dry Saison yeast, woody floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Really, I haven’t rated this? Pours clear golden with some white foam, leaves nice lacings. Full on sweet and spicy aroma, farmhouse style saison. Some honey and fresh apple jam. Taste brings out more of that yeast spice - but its hoppy and herbal. Sweetness in the nose was misleading, it feels pretty dry, nice long spicy hop linger in the finish. Sort of a hop classic for me from Shiga Kogen.

Bottle brought home from Japan by a friend. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, citrus, light spicy and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 260317

Ginga kogen indian summer hoppy saison On tap at craft heads shibuya. Pale yellow color clear white head decent lacing. Hoppy notes upfront resiny american hops with spices some orange and pale malts backing. Some starch or yeast in the finish, quite floral, nice.

On tap at HOTD. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A big citrus nose, toast, fresh oranges. The flavor is more of the same, lead by sweet citrus, biscuit dry malt, light sweetness. Very fresh and flavorful. Awesome.
