500ml bottle at home. Pours a deep red to brown, nice large off white to tan head that sticks around. Muted aroma of brown bread, sweet fruit, cherry, honey. Taste isn’t that far away from a regular traditional red ale to be honest, I’m not getting a ton of “barrel aged” flavours here, mostly sweet malt and strangely some bittering hops. Finish is very quick unfortunately.

Bottle from Martin’s. Deep amber with a thin head. Aroma of orange peel and malt. Flavour is wood, subtle whiskey, fruity, warming spice on a caramel finish.
