Bottle at Banchory Lodge Hotel. Clear golden/amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and caramel. Flavour of toffee and orange with a hint of liquorice on the finish. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rather nice indeed. I didn’t understand the dates and famous names under the peelable label.

Bottle at North Hop. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, caramel, toffee, dried fruits and candied orange peel. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, toffee, caramel, pine, tannin, pithy citrus, berry skin and waxy rind with a drying finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
