Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Many thanks to Colin for this special vintage brew! Bottle #7/300. Pours dark brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds burnt wood, light ash, dried dark fruits. Medium sweet flavour with light mineral flint, cocoa, alcohol, scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with strong roast, charred malts, more earthy bitterness, flinty minerals, baking cocoa, burnt pine. Pretty good stuff overall.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottleshare. Thanks to Colin for another of these head scratching releases! Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and a little soft. Decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, mildly creamy. A slight metallic twang. No roast. Tangy pine and mild pruney fruits. Light and spicy finish. Interesting.

Bottle from the W&E homer Colin. It pours darkest brown / black with a decent white head. The nose is sweet, oily, perfumed, dried fruits, Vimto, Dandelion & Burdock, toffee, candied peel and parma violets. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy roast, light spice, charred wood, sticky dried fruits and burnt pine with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma stands out way more than the taste for me. Overall not too shabby.

Bottle split at the pre xmas tasting #Juan, from the rewery #7/300, 09/12/15. Black with a decent light tan covering. Nose is liquorice, earthy hop, light pine, spice, dark fruits, tropicana. Taste comprises bitter fruit shreds, earthy hop, pine needle, straw, light cocoa, red berry jam. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Decent CDA.

Bottle shared@CBC Clerkenwell, London (03/06/2015) - fuzzy dark brown to black coloured pour with a beige head. Aroma and taste is roasted malts, dark fruity, medium hoppy, pine needles, cocoa, roasted medium hoppy finish.

Ludicrous "Craft" bottle thanks to Colin. Slow gush.... It pours hazy deep red-brown with a massive beige head. The nose is rather sweet...cola, caramel, cherry cola, raisin, candy, light piney varnish and liquorice. The taste is bitter, earthy, cherry cola, caramel, earthy roast, pepper, piney varnish, rather dry, ashy and some alcohol boost with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and big foamy carbonation. Think I preferred the older vintage of this. STill not bad.

Bottle shared at craft beer co clerko. Thanks to Colin for this one. Aging a black IPA? Mahogany brown coloured pour with a big creamy, frothy head. Aroma is sharp citrus hop, little soap, faint toast. Flavour is tart roasted grains, little treacle, signs of oxidisation, pine needle, sharp citrus. Palate is medium full and sticky, little resin, highish carbonation. Lingering bitter roast and citrus.
