750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has moderate roasted malt, gentle bourbon barrels, and some earthiness. Flavour is somewhat harsh and lacking elegance, but does have some nice oak barrel presence, medium roast, and a hint of vanillin. Seems like rather harsh barrels—likely not the most high-quality bourbon barrels. Below average for AleSmith but still quite good.

Dark brown, aroma seems fairly boozy, harsh. On the palate, the alcohol is prominent, it's boozy for sure. The base stout...it's not rich, and it's fine, rummy and some dark sugars. But to me it stands out for what it is not (refined & complex) than what it is.

750mL bottle. Pours very dark brown with a minimal beige head. Bourbon barrels, dark chocolate, and dark sugars on the nose. Flavour has loads of dark chocolate malts, coffee, dark sugars, and bourbon barrels. It's nice, but the barrel character is a bit cheap and the beer as a whole is not super well integrated.

Black with a brown head - Good dark malt aorma with some wood barrel aroma as well - Dark malt body, chcocolate with good wood barrel flavours - Good dark malt , chocolate and wood flaovurs goes into the finish - This was real good
