Bourbon Sagejuana is a burnt orange colored American IPA with notable sage and resiny pine aromas aged in bourbon barrels for up to 10 months, producing bold flavors of vanilla, charred oak, and even a slight booziness. Medium bodied with relatively low malt sweetness, floral fruity hops infuse with agreeable herbaceous flavors that contribute equally to a heightened bitterness, which eventually fades, leaving an undeniable and satisfying aftertaste of fresh sage resonating on the palate.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a clear gold with some eggshell head. Smells like hand soap, minty toothpaste. Flavor is of toothpaste and mint. Gross finish. Weird beer.
