Tap at the brewery
Clear dark amber with a big off-white head, lots of lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and dark fruit. Taste is malty, woody and caramel
Decent, alcohols are well hidden.

Tap at the brewery - typical abrasive american barleywine that borders on imperial ipa territory - nose and flavor are very basic - sticky, innocuous sweetness, caramelized sugars, light cherry - second half dominated by potent, moderately abrasive hoppiness that lingers into the finish - harsh.
