Foggy white-yellow body and a large but not very solid head. Very little aroma, some lemon, some coriander. Taste is a thick mix of leather and hops, like a dark wheat if you will. Bone dry finish. Something different for a witbier, at least.

0.75l bottle from a Casino store in Eze, shared with heavy. Almost blew out heavy’s eye. Serves him right for laughing at me when I almost made a hole in the bus with the Blonde :p. Poured a murky golden body, medium thick white head that went away fast. Nice fruity sweet agrumey nose, tangy orange. Sweet fruity taste, bit lactic, some bubblegum, notes of tea near the end and not much aftertaste. Ok for a Wit.

11/10 A 0.75l bottle from Casino store, Eze. Only two turns on that wire cage holding the (obviously extreme short) cork made it pop out strongly right into my eye, leaving a bruise over it still while I’m writing this! Luckily only that! Well, it poured murky yellow body with bigger head. Murky and bigger eye, too, lol. Very nice and cloying yeasty aroma, cloves, banana, orange and some spices. Similar, estery flavor as well, dominated by sweet banana yeast and vanilla or light caramel malt. Full bodied, especially for the style! Sweetish, longer finish. One of the better Witbiers I’ve head, simple but very pleasant and tasty.

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow, no head. Fruity buckwheat aroma. Fairly sweet with light-medium body and trounded mouthfeel. Paper and butter with orangey notes. No bitterness. A quite simple withbier.

Yellow-gold beer, very hazy, with a small whitish rim, despite lively carbonation. Rainwater - or Drainwater. And maybe, maybe something citrussy. Very uninteresting nose. Dull, grainy, near wheaty (but not quite) taste; no coriander nor citrus, but oxydized (grain, leaves) flavours - BBd another full year ahead! Carbonation being lively, the CO² makes out near all the MF; light bodied, or had you guessed? Surprisingly bland, uninteresting beer. After a few quite good French "blanches" I’d have expected way more from Moulins d’Ascq.
