Tasting at Papsø’s
Black color. Very nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla (evident oak here), light paper. It has a good body, with rich chocolate flavor, some roasted malt, light coffee, pleasant vanilla touch, and some late alcohol, whiskey.
One more beer in this style, but at least very good.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Skyview. Label reads: "fourteen fourteen". Pours a cloudy dark brown with a tint of orange and a creamy beige head. Very sweet Bourbon aroma atop the roast. Rich body, lovely roast, some licorice but the Bourbon really has an impact. Gets boozy in the finish. But your classic Bourbon Imperial Stout. 160612

Shared a 22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a small light brown head. Aroma was roasted malts, vanilla, touch of brown sugar. Flavor was a nice bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar, concoction. The sweet characters of it helped to mask a bit of the alcohol burn that lingered at the end, but was still surprised to find out that it was 11% ABV. Very good!
