Opaque black - brown beer, little tan head. Smooth palate with mild carbonation. Smooth dark malt, no roast or bitterness. When the beer is fridge cold there is a little vanilla oak. As the beer warms up the bourbon comes in. It’s spicy bourbon but it works here in the smooth background. Traces of chocolate and lactose. Finishes smooth. Very drinkable.

On tap at Brickhouse pre GTMW 2012. After a long day of bourbon barrel beers...it doesn’t really blow you me away. Brown-black body, steady beige head. Big caramel booze, but balanced by some hefty chocolate tones. Hardly worth the hype.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured in a sample glass. Pours black with dark brown hightlights. Little lacing, medium/thick body. Taste is good bourbon, vanilla, and roasty. A little too much bourbon for me, but still good.

Pours dark brown. Looks a bit murky but it could just be the color. Light beige head. Small bubbles. Dissipating head. Lots of brown sugar, roast and chocolate in the nose. Well blended bourbon character. Lots more good barrel character in the taste. Starts sweet but dries out well as the wood comes in. Solid roast and chocolate flavors. Smooth mouthfeel. Very good beer.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, boubon, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.
