Moab Brewery’s American Pale Ale is boldly hoppy. Pale and caramel malts are the backbone and on the hop side we combined Mt Hood, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe. Pale malts and juicy hop bitterness combine to please the senses.

16 oz. can from Orem, Utah State liquor store. Pours a hazy dark gold color with a tight off white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Nondescript aroma with a hint of floral hops. The taste is more pale ale than the nose. Like most of the Moab beers, it's a mellow pale ale. Not much hops flavor and a little bitter bite in the finish. Medium body. Crisp mouthfeel. Okay.

16 oz. can, at the brewery. Pours clear, bubbly yellow, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is bitter orange peel, rye, pine sap, and chicory. Lightly sweet, with a sharp, unpleasant bitterness. Light to medium body, with a sharp, metallic mouthfeel. This is a mediocre pale ale.
