This German-style sour ale starts with a grist of imported pilsner and wheat, with very moderate amounts of bittering hops. An addition of passion fruit and the subtle tropical back-end heat of habanero, finished with a copious dry hop addition of fruit-forward hops, makes for an explosive aroma. Kettle soured with lacto culture, this truly has all of the things that make a beer unique.

Sample at the 29th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival on 07/30/2016. Pours a hazy straw color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Strings of lace. Tart fruit, yeast and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is sour citrus and a touch of hops. Above average overall.

On tap at OBF 16. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. A zesty lemon nose, light citrus. Somewhat sour zesty lemon, some tropical notes, sweet citrus, Quite nice. Very flavorful.
