Birra Pazza al Pesto translates to "Crazy Pesto Beer," according to Italian-born and raised Giuseppe Vaccarello, a friend of the brewmaster. In English: it’s a light American wheat beer infused in the whirlpool with the glory of pine nuts, parmesan cheese, basil, freshly crushed garlic and a dash of olive oil. It was also "dry basiled" with more fresh basil for your aromatic enjoyment.

Sample at the 29th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival on 07/30/2016. The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Pesto, malt and spice in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of pesto, basil, malt and tomato. The finish is reminiscent of pizza sauce. Interesting beer, but not something I would drink regularly.

The pesto beer to stop all pesto beers! On tap at OBF. This is a good, maybe great beer. I just can’t drink much at all. Pours a yellow color with a small white head. A massive nose of pesto, smells like tomatoes and spices. Garlic, basil is huge, tomato like flavors. Man, this is nuts. Good, but I can’t drink this.

Slightly cloudy straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma of pesto and tomatoes. Flavor of tomato, sage and spices
Not bad, but some things shouldn’t be in beer
