Bottle at Craft Beer Co Brighton. It pours cloudy deep mahogany, with a thin off-white head. The nose is chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut, farmyard, spice, oak and fruit cake. The taste is caramel, chocolate, vanilla, spice, wood, toast, quite sweet, dark fruit, roasted malt, meatiness and farmyard, with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent stuff.

Bomber bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours dark wooden brown with a frothy and creamy brownish white head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with cookie dough, wood, candi sugar, vanilla, oatmeal cookies, plums, raisins, resin, orange zest, cereal, maple syrup and sweet dark bread. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter and tiny sour with sweet dark bread, maple syrup, wood, banana bread, vanilla, orange zest, resin, cookie dough, oatmeal, cereal, burnt caramel, yeasty esters, . Mouthfeel is round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and very tiny bitter with wood, cereal, orange zest, maple syrup, resin, prunes and vanilla.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a hazed bronze hued body with a medium sized tan head that stuck around for a bit. Aromas are of prunes, plums, candied dark fruits, clove, spicy phenols, lightly herbal, medium vanillin. Flavors are of vanilla, marzipan, banana esters, spicy phenols, nutty, a bit grainy, malty, cereal. Somewhat bitter or tannic for what I was expecting. Medium to lively bubbles, a touch sweet but finish dry.

Bottle. Pours midnight brown with off white head. Nose/taste of vanilla beans, spiced cocoa, caramel, dark fruit, raisin and wood chips. Sweet mouth feel finishes with dry spices. Odd, but gets a bit smoother/more balanced as it warms. Medium body.
