Tap @ De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Clear amber body under a nice, tan head. Aroma of bread and caramel malt. Taste has a fine, smooth malt flavour with some caramel and bread. Low bitterness. Quite nice one without bringing anything extraordinary to the table.

On tap at De Prael Proeflokaal Amsterdam. As Nelis. A malt forward beer with caramel, dried fruit and some dark bread notes. Quite dry. A nice one, probably best suited with some kind of food. 646414 251109

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, caramel, some chocolate, spicy notes, marzipan, dark fruits, liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. A decent Doppelbock, has some complexity in the aroma and a fairly good balance.

Nice, creamy head. Very dark color, just a bit cloudy. Slight peach aroma. Malty flavor with some apple sourness and caramel. Thin for a doppelbock. (6 3 5 2 10 = 2.6) 2006 version. The brewery has made slow progress. Mango in the aroma, caramel. Malty sweetish flavor. Pear drups. Medium to full bodied. Not an entirely clean palate.

Tap at De Prael Proeflokaal. Cloudy, dark brown colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting an dlacing, beige head. Sweet-ish dark malty and fresh hoppy aroma, notes of malt lozenge. Taste is sweet-ish malty and fresh, grassy, slightly herbal hoppy, notes of malt lozenge, hop oil, weed, fruity overtones with a touch of apricot; oily texture. Lots of hop oils, kind of a Grünhopfenbock. Good.
