Bottle shared at DC local tasting, courtesy of nbutler11 - thanks! The darkest peach beer I have ever seen in my whole life. Aroma of summer fruit, dilute coffee. A very odd flavor combination that doesn’t quite work. Interesting idea, anyway.

Opaque black beer, good bubbly tan head. Light airy palate, semi dry. Moderate dark malt base with a whisper of roast and slightly tangy - sour. Tiny bit of wood and then sweet vibrant fresh and natural tasting peach. Dry finish. Interesting, tasty and very drinkable. Nice one Odell.

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Deep ruddy brown body, medium clumping tan head. Nose of peach, alcohol, and toast. Body with peach and roast, musty with sharp fruit and fruitskin notes; also prickly with warming alcohol. Potent.

Bottle: Dark brown pour with two fingers of creamy tan head. Nose is mostly peaches, a light roast that conveys dryness, and faint cocoa. Tastes roasty with a subdued barrel presence that is mild and lightly dry. Chocolate and some peaches, although not nearly as fruity as the nose. The fruitiness works well to balance the dryness from the roast and barrel notes. Enjoyable.

Sample from a bottle from an unknown source at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: The beer pours dark brownish black with a medium khaki head that has a lot of large bubbles around the edges. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt and peaches. Medium to full body with flavors of tart peach, sweet malt and mild hops. The finish is fruity with a lingering roasty malt aftertaste. Enjoyable beer overall.

Bottle thanks to GRG1313 (BA). Pours with a huge tan head that leaves very good lace over the very deep brown body. Aromas of brown sugar, chocolate, celery root, molasses and peaches (faint). Flavors are caramelized, brown sugar, soil, earth, light fruit (and a light fruity acidity). A touch herbal. Medium bubbles and a bit thin.
