Pretty hazy and cloudy orange and bronze coloured body with a deep, murky glow and a pretty thin, single centimetre tall tan head that leaves a thin lace on the sides. Aroma of citrus, light lactose, heavy malts, wheat and residual sugars with a moderate dose of coconut water/milk in the nose, too. Full-bodied Very juicy and pungent fruit notes dominate here with a lot of oranges, tangerines, grapefruit and some of the almost artificial coconut flavours, with some deep wheat and malt to support all the fruits, eneding in a strong sweetness of both lactose and fructose, with the alcohol noticeable as well. Aftertaste is rich, very fruity, still quite sweet and finishing with a heavy hit of alcohol and lactose with oranges and coconuts pungent, too. Overall, a nice, fruity, pretty New England-ish IPA with a lot of malt/wheat as well that provides a great balance, too - strong, but enjoayble, just not as 'tropical' (coconutty) as I was hoping for. Great to try still after returning from Hawai`i and wanting more island experience/flavours. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 29-November-2021 for US$5,49, best by 06-September-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 26-April-2022.

22oz bottle picked up at the brewery. Pours cloudy orange with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. Citrus, bready, grapefruit peel, herbal, dry malts, mild coconut, grassy. Decent, but I was hoping for coconut.
