Süffiger, trocken malziger Beginn, mild. Leicht röstig, minimale Süße, erhöhte Karbonisierung. Brotig, insgesamt aber langweilig mild bleibend. 9/6/7/7/8/7

500ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown, quasi black colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Initially rather weak, minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, a touch of malt lozenge, dark caramel, pumpernickel, later more roasty, almost a bit ashy, dark malty. Taste is slightly dry, roasty, dark malty, almost a bit ashy, some roasty bitterness, light hoppy bitterness, minimally metallic overtones a touch of iron, rust and blood. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite roasty, almost Schwarzbier-like - not bad.

Ok

Fläschla (@ Landbierparadies, Norimberk): Very deep ruby amber coloured, presumably not clear, smaller persistent creamy off-white head, relatively dry toasty-ashy nose, nevertheless sweet dark malt well detectable underneath; mild to moderate bitter-sweetish flavour, nearly medium bodied with the archetypal franconian softness; slightly lingering and mild bitter-sweet finish. An inoffensive brew, nevertheless well crafted and likeable...

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with some red tinges. Blackcurrant, brown sugar and some slightly roasted notes in the aroma. Sweetish taste with notes of chocolate and cherries plus some black bread. The sweetness complements the other flavours well.

Bottle. Chestnut brown, golden cream. Sweet Berry muffin roast aroma. Chewy mellow malt base, good balance of sweet sugar roast and juiciness, dry grassy and citric finish. Very enjoyable.

Tap in à petty farm that doubles as à small restaurant in the center of Schesslitz. Cola color. Malty bready aroma and flavor. Sweetish, floral notes. Hint of caramel. Pleasant, went very well with the Kesselfleisch.
