Super clear and copper coloured body with a thin, fairly fast-dying off-white and tan head. Aroma of pineapple, resin, flowers and a bit of grapefruit, but very strong on hops with a small dose of sugars and some alcohol noticeable too. Medium-bodied; Relatively strong malt notes show a lot of astringency at first, but the hops and alcohol behind show a lot of bitterness and end with a smooth grapefruity sweetness and a light dose of pine at the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of grain, with some sweetness at first, but the bitterness and pungency along with the alcohol finishes nicely here. Overall, a rich, hoppy, bitter, yet balanced IPA that almost hits the Imperial marker, but seems like a West Coaster or even a grassy IPA that could have been from the East Coast with the malt bill. Nice to sample at Pint & Cork as a fourteen ounce pour on draught for US$7,00 sampled while on Spring Break with my wife and kids in Wailea, Maui, Hawaii while on spring on 15-April-2022.
