Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Oren. Dark brown to black-colored. Aroma with some hops and roastiness. Flavor has light sweetness with malt, some roastiness and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Shipped up to the arctic via LCBO... hey, the selection ain’t great, but if you saw the selection in Nunavut this would certainly qualify as exotic! Poured at 10.5 celcius it has a brown copper-black body and a very small head. The aroma is mahogany, murky, lots of barley in there. The flavour is a dark mix of roasted barley, coffee, with a sharp hoppy finish. Unique, but not amazing, but not awful, and worth a try if you find it.

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with almost no head with limited retention. Aroma of stale hops and watered down malts is quite bad. Taste is also a disappointing mix between some stale hops notes with a grainy unrefined malt taste that is undrinkable. Body is quite light for the style with low carbonation. I haven’t had such a bad beer in a long time – this was a total drain pour for me.
