Bottle. A gusher, dark brown in color and topped by a dense, collapsing beige head. Lemon-sourish aroma with roasted malts. The flavor pretty much the same, soursih and quite dry, with roasted malts and some bitterness. Medium to full body. Long roasted and lemony finish. Not a bad one, even though it seems to be infected, but I can’t say I’m aroused. 130928

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark brown with a moderate sized pale beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, ashes and grassy bitterness. Medium body and not so much aftertaste. OK drinkable mellow beer, I think I get the point behind this beer and I have absolutely nothing against subdued beers with a more hidden complexity, but I’m sorry to feel that this just ended up being a bit to boring for me.

On tap @ Henrik. This is a deep dark brown one with a small non-sidesticking light brown top. Not to extreme on the aroma. some sweet light roasted aromas with traces of chocolate and dark coffee. Nice non-extreme. it has a nice small-prickling carbonation level and a soft oily mouth feel. Mild rotated flavours, well not all that mild considering this is a brown ale and not a stout. The cocoa is shining through with traces of vanilla. Quite impressive for a relatively low abv beer. Some ripe fruits in the finish that's somewhat mouth drying. Quite a nice brown ale. 22.02.2013

Sample from tap, FØL 2013. Dark brown colour with a small, tanned head. Roasted aroma with dark, roasted caramel malt, coffee, chocolate. A yeasty touch. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes sweet with rich caramel malts, liquorice and a yeasty, fruity note. Interesting to add the yeasts to an otherwise rather generic styled beer.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, fruity yeast esters, light roastedness and green apples. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of dark fruit, bread and light green apples. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Not clean and a bit weird.
